Sleek and modern. Traditional and elegant. Rustic and charming. Or any other architectural style. Realizing the owner’s and designer’s vision and helping them get “there” efficiently and cost-effectively is our goal. From luxury golf clubhouses to high-end resorts and spas to casino hotels, Kitchell’s experts know the best ways to construct the finest architectural details and finishes and how to fulfill stakeholder needs.
Whether it's rehabbing tired properties, upgrading common areas and building hotels with adjacent casinos on tribal lands, we work in partnership with the project owner and architect to achieve a property that will be safe, pristine and an asset to the community.
In 1956 we played a role in creating what would become a longstanding Scottsdale landmark, the Hotel Valley Ho. In the 1950s and 60s many mid-century hotels and resorts were built but, sadly, few remain today. The Hotel Valley Ho is an exception and a testament to the value that this minimalist, modern style holds today. Built by Kitchell just five years after Scottsdale was incorporated as a city, Kitchell was also selected to oversee the complete remodel and restoration of this Arizona treasure, bringing the resort back to its former mid-century splendor. Total restoration costs came to $80 million. The hotel re-opened on December 20, 2005, 49 years after the hotel’s original opening.
