Focusing on the public sector has allowed us to develop management and project control techniques targeted to its specific needs. Our methods have been very successful—more than 85% of our work comes from repeat clients. We deliver our services using a variety of delivery strategies including agency and multiple prime CM, construction management at risk, lease-leaseback, design-build and the traditional design-bid-build. Hit paws (pause), we've got news! A record-breaking year! Kitchell’s #EAS Department un-leashed their full power for Sacramento SPCA’s 29th Annual Doggy Dash. The event led to a new record, raising over $223,000 to help Sacramento SPCA provide direct care to the animals in our community.

Kitchell's Peter Gasparini and Bob Lopez were luck

Kitchell's Peter Gasparini and Bob Lopez were lucky to experience the talents of high school students in the San Diego ACE Mentor Program, an after-school program led by volunteer professionals to offer an inside look at careers opportunities in building and design (part of the @acementor). At the program close the students presented a plan to design and build an Olympic-sized pool at their school, and three mentees won scholarships for future education opportunities.

Welcome aboard Chad! As a hands-on leader with a track record for managing diverse, high-performance teams, we're excited for Chad to join Kitchell. When asked why he's dedicated over 25 years to healthcare projects, Chad responded, "I love knowing that the facilities we serve are the internet of things that will be used by medical professionals to provide world class health care." To better serve his clients, he has become a strong advocate in implementing Lean and Big Room concepts to improve the execution of design, planning, activation and construction of healthcare facilities. We can't wait to do great things for our clients!

Introducing Kitchell + Square Root Academy's inaugural class of HARD HAT SCHOLARS: you did it - graduation! We are incredibly proud of this group and their burgeoning passion for the #AEC industry. During their #graduation, Kitchell was honored to surprise each student of the graduating class with a $1,000 #scholarship and our newest #kitchellintern, Nathan Evans, who was awarded with a 6-week paid internship!

Kitchell’s mission to positively impact communities directly aligns with our long term partner UC Davis Health. Kitchell has contributed by helping raise more than $1 million towards Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) through hosting the annual CMN Golf Tournament and working the “Give for Kids Mediathon," as well as gathering food donations for families affected by the pandemic. Building healthy places...within active facilities

Building healthy places...within active facilities: One of the complexities of working in active healthcare environments is managing timetables with the least disruption necessary. At this lab at Banner Desert Medical Center, we worked closely with the staff (during the pandemic!) to re-sequence work and shaved three months off the overall schedule, helping the staff, patients and the bottom line.
