A new $5.5 million 9,400 SF, LEED Platinum certified one-story building with mezzanine. This project replaces the original West Branch building and incorporates environmentally friendly features such as passive heating and cooling strategies, a radiant slab system supported by solar thermal panels on the roof with a supplemental heat pump system for heating and a roof-mounted photovoltaic system to offset the building’s electrical energy demand. The library is designed as a Net Zero Energy building, providing a facility that will have a net zero annual energy bill and a zero carbon footprint.

The project won multiple awards including the 2015 AIA East Bay Design Awards – Citation for Architecture and 2016 AIA Committee on the Environment (COTE) Top Ten Award Winner.
