For the @uarizona Center for Sleep, Circadian & Neuroscience Research, tight coordination with the design team was essential — delivering a fully isolated research environment with circadian-mimicking light controls and a 35-foot IV pass-through that protects study integrity without entering the room. When the world shut down, our design-build collabo When the world shut down, our design-build collaboration ramped up. Three Kitchell projects earned @dbianational Awards of Merit last night — and one stood in the spotlight: the @ucsandiego Theatre District Living and Learning Neighborhood. Through COVID disruptions, supply chain setbacks, and shifting timelines, our team and partners found creative solutions that kept the project moving — and the results speak for themselves. This remarkable design-build effort earned four top honors, including the Award of Excellence in Education, Best in Design – Architecture, and Best in Teaming/Leadership — proof of what happens when innovation meets determination.
