Kitchell was contracted to investigate the existing mission critical heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing and electrical systems for the UC Davis Health medical campus. The intent was to assess and analyze the critical needs of the campus facilities and provide recommendations for enhancing operational reliability and maintaining institutional quality by identifying critical repair, replacement and capital renewal needs. The assessment covered over 1.4 million SF and nine buildings, including two medical tower buildings, two cancer centers, a medical clinic, an administrative office/education center and three research lab buildings.
