The Todd Road Jail Health and Programming Unit is a new $61.1 million addition that will provide 64 beds and 47,719 SF of housing, medical and dental clinic, programming and staff support space. Built adjacent to the existing Todd Road Jail facility and connected through a secure corridor, the expansion will enable Ventura County to offer a more holistic approach to treatment for inmate-patients with medical/mental health needs. Medical and Mental Health Care staff will provide evidence-based programs and cognitive behavioral therapy in a physical layout that is secure and safe for both staff and inmate-patients with the goal of reducing recidivism by providing treatment that will allow inmate-patients to flourish once they re-enter the community.
