CEM Interns are taking some (job walk) steps in bu CEM Interns are taking some (job walk) steps in building their knowledge of the industry with their first job walk at the City of South San Francisco's new $101 million Library, Parks & Recreation Center! The interns got a taste of what ground-up construction entails, including utility coordination, solider beam, drilling auger cast piles, below grade rebar installation, concrete pours, SOG formwork and more. Thank you to the team including Emma Lucey, Farshid Samsami, Eric Nguyen, Bob Parks, Ken Smith, Christine McVay, Robert Begonia, Steve Dewan, Jhanae Yarza, Veronica Delgado and Larissa Tessler for supporting the interns!

Kitchell employees Mike Perfette and B.A Golston were part of the management and leadership of the $310 million project that added eight new gates for @southwestair. The new 275,000 SF expansion includes a new 2-level, 130,000 SF concourse, world class dining and retail concession options, passenger amenities, two crossover transfer bridges to connect the south concourses, a new consolidated exit, and loading dock. The new concourse also features the public art piece “Phoenix Lights, Phoenix Rising” by artist Susan Logoreci and state-of-the-art technology electrochromic glazing (windows that adjust their tint levels based upon the sun’s location).

With over 33 years of experience, Sean Greenwald has a natural ability to communicate and relate with people, while providing valuable technical knowledge to clients. Sean’s department is currently managing facilities nationwide including: California, Arizona, Colorado, Texas, Indiana, New York and Ohio!

The American Heart Association is a cause close to The American Heart Association is a cause close to the heart of Kitchell. We were honored to be a sponsor of the AHA’s Heart Ball and would like to thank attendees who brought a ball to the Ball. Raising awareness and funds to support the AHA not only allows us to give back to our community in a meaningful way, but helps to support a member of our own Kitchell family, CMMS/CAFM Supervisor Geody Domingo and his son, Luke, who will be undergoing his second open heart surgery in July. Todd Road Jail is on the road to completion! The $ Todd Road Jail is on the road to completion! The $61.6 million facility will provide 64 beds and 47,719 SF of programming space, enabling Ventura County to implement essential programs and cognitive behavioral therapy to inmate-patients with medical and mental health needs. Good work team!
